Quest 3 Scene 2
Scene 2 of 5  ·  The Food Market
The Baker's Temptation 🍞
The food market smells incredible! The scroll says: spend 5 coins here. But the baker rushes over — "For 9 coins, I'll make a magic glowing feast for everyone!" Or for 7 coins, a modest upgrade with tastier bread. Normal food for 5 coins feeds everyone just fine.
Choice A — Follow the Plan
Spend 5 coins as planned
Everyone eats well and you still have plenty of coins for the stops ahead.
Choice C — Small Upgrade
Spend 7 coins — a modest upgrade for tastier food
A little over the scroll's amount, but the food is much better. Sometimes a small overspend brings real value — but you still went off plan.
Choice B — The Magic Feast
Spend 9 coins on the glowing feast
Glowing lemonade for everyone! But only a few coins left for three more stops…

Books or Magic Pencils? 📚
The kids need books. The scroll says: spend 4 coins. But a wizard is at the door — "Magic pencils! Just 2 coins. They write all by themselves!" Small print: magic wears off after one day. The books last a whole year.
Choice A — Best Value
Buy the books for 4 coins
The kids get books that last all year. A budget is about getting the right thing, not the cheapest thing.
Choice B — Seemed Cheaper
Buy the magic pencils for 2 coins
The pencils stop working by lunch. Spending less isn't always better — value matters too.

The Toy Chest 🪀
The scroll says spend 3 coins on toys for the children. But the Toy Chest keeper says: "For just 1 extra coin (4 total), I'll add a set of learning games that teach maths!" The budget says 3. Spending 4 is over budget — but adds clear educational value.
Choice A — Follow the Plan
Spend exactly 3 coins as planned
You stick to the scroll. The children are happy, and the budget is right on track. Discipline rewarded!
Choice B — Add the Learning Games
Spend 4 coins to include the maths games
The learning games are wonderful — but you went 1 coin over the scroll's plan. Even good reasons can break a budget.

Quest 3 Scene 5
Scene 5 of 5  ·  The Doctor's Hut
The Last Big Stop 💊
The doctor helps sick people. The scroll says: spend 3 coins. "For 6 coins," says the doctor, "I can also get special herbs to keep everyone healthy all winter!" Or for 4 coins, a partial herb bundle. The budget says 3.
Choice A — Follow the Plan
Pay 3 coins as planned
The sick people are helped and the budget is followed precisely. Every stop gets what it needs!
Choice C — Negotiate
Negotiate to pay 4 coins for a partial herb bundle
The doctor agrees to a partial bundle for 4 coins. You found a middle ground — but still went 1 coin over the scroll's plan.
Choice B — The Extra Herbs
Pay 6 coins for the full extra herbs
The herbs sound wonderful — but spending too much here means the budget is well off plan for this stop.
